 | Whats so special about image sequence.... Our image sequence processing service scans every cell or frame of your film to an individual image. We can then supply these image files to you so you can choose any image for photo albums, display or for emailing your friends and family. Every 50ft of cine will produce literally thousands of images to choose from. These images can be supplied in either Standard Definition or High Definition resolution. For video editing purposes, image sequence files are the purest, highest quality file to work with as there is no compressing video codec applied. |
Conventional cine transfers are carried out by projecting the film onto a screen and filming the projected image with a video camera. This produces a poor quality image with annoying flicker, poorly distributed illumination and inadequate definition. In addition, the projectors used do not show the entire cine frame so you loose about 20% of the original image. Do not confuse these services with our state of the art frame by frame transfer service.
| Our cine transfers are carried out using state of the art frame by frame capture technology to either standard definition or high definition formats. This captures all of each frame of the film directly from the cine emulsion and assembles the individual images onto our computerised video editing suite. We then edit out any badly under or over exposed sections and apply colour correction to restore the film to its original state. This is all done without any damage to your original cine film. Unlike other transfer methods our conversions will have absolutely no flicker, illumination hot spots or image degradation. In fact it is likely that the final transferred film will look better than the original. |  |
In addition, all film is meticulously cleaned using a dedicated cine film cleaning solution. Repairs and re-splicing are undertaken to ensure a smooth transfer.
